The audit is the basis, because we need information to provide high-quality advice. In addition, we have to submit certain information to the insurance companies in order to be able to receive offers at all. After the evaluation, we translate the feedback into a recommendation and immediately provide any necessary cybersecurity projects.
These may need to be implemented before or during the first 6 months of the policy. Once the policy has been finalised, we are almost back to work on the renewal and check whether the insurer's new requirements make adjustments necessary. In this way, we are always proactive.
Regularly reviewing the status quo and comparing it with the insurers' catalogues of requirements is essential. This makes cyber insurance an integral part of the cyber security concept.
