The origin of securance GmbH lies in Krefeld. This is where initiator Andreas Papadaniil and our co-founder and managing director Philipp Skucha met. After attending school together, their paths diverged into the insurance and IT industries. A few years later, these paths and industries were to be brought together. Because in 2017, Andreas, together with Jona Ridderskamp, founded suresecure GmbH – a specialized cybersecurity service provider with the mission to make the digital world a safer place. Security and protection are crucial from the management's perspective, which is why Andreas contacted Philipp to initially know the insurance matters of suresecure GmbH in safe hands.

The number of cyberattacks on companies, institutions, and infrastructures continued to increase exorbitantly. The damages became larger and larger, and many companies asked suresecure GmbH whether there wasn't another form of protection in the context of cybersecurity - cyber insurance. suresecure GmbH could not meet this obvious demand, but the two founders saw great potential. Thus, in 2021, the decision was made to found a specialized broker for cyber insurance – securance GmbH. This is how insurance and IT experts came together.
